I had been planning for weeks to take the kids to the Butterfly House, but cold weather and illness kept us from going. We were finally able to go this past Wednesday. The weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold, and we were all healthy enough to be outside! We made a whole day of it, even meeting daddy for lunch!
We have been there many times, but the kids were just as excited. This was Sydney's first time of course, so I wasn't sure how she would do with the butterflies flying around, but she loved it! She even stuck her hand out trying to catch one on her finger...so cute!
After some time of trying and a bit of patience, Annabelle finally had one land on her finger.
Inside the butterfly house is also an orchard room full of beautiful flowers.
After we had our fill of the butterflies we took a little hike around the gardens and stopped for pictures here and there, and of course we had to take our traditional picture by the rocks and Dow Gardens sign.
We had a great time on our visit to the butterfly house and I am so happy that we were able to find some time to go before it was too late. Great memories!
