"Not Me!" Monday was born out of the need to confess our motherly shortcomings. "Not MY Child!" Mondays came from that same need to confess the imperfections of our My sweet little four month old baby girl, Sydney, would never scream bloody murder when she finished her bottle. She is a well fed baby and perhaps a little attached to her food, but she would NOT throw a fit just because the bottle is empty!
Nope...NOT MY CHILD!
My one and only son, Sammy, would also NEVER throw a major temper-tantrum because he did not get what he wanted. And he would NOT be sent to his room for punishment since he did NOT throw said fit. He would never stand behind his door instead of being on his bed as he was told, and he would NOT get hit by the door knob when I opened it to let him out...you know, because he was NOT behind the door in the first place. As a result he did NOT get a nice shiny black eye!
No way...NOT MY CHILD!!
Our two oldest girls, Annabelle and Alivia, who love to talk and sing, would NOT spend two hours in bed doing such things when they were supposed to be "sawing logs" instead. And since they know when daddy gets up he means bussiness they would NOT laugh and giggle while he was disciplining them!
Uh-uh, NOPE, never....NOT MY CHILDREN!
Okay, now it's your turn...what do you need to confess and get off your shoulders? Did you child or children NOT do something this week that totally mortified you, or made you wonder what planet they are from? Or maybe it's just something that you did NOT do. Leave me a comment and while your at it, don't forget to stop by McMama's blog.
